Thirteen Reasons

Faith requires us to believe in something we cannot see. So, when it comes to religion, it is particularly important that religious organizations give us honest and accurate presentations of their beliefs that we can see. Unfortunately, this is not always the case.

One of the most misunderstood religious sects is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, or Mormons-and a large part of the reason it is so misunderstood is due to the way the Church presents itself to the public. Shifts in its outreach efforts over the past few decades have made it appear as though Mormonism and mainstream Christianity are fundamentally the same, even though the underlying doctrines, which clearly indicate that they are different, have not changed.

Thirteen Reasons takes an unapologetic yet compassionate look at how the beliefs of the Mormon Church, as stated in the Thirteen Articles of Faith, differ from Biblical Christianity as a whole. Through careful comparison of the texts, doctrines, and teachings, it dispels the myths surrounding the truth and shows that it is not enough to use the words of others to describe your beliefs when those words have completely different meanings for each group.
