What is thinking?We often use the word thinking without being fully aware of what we mean. Despite this, we do not make a mistake in using that word or in understanding it. There is no doubt that it is funny to answer those who ask us: What is thinking? This question invites us to think about thinking.The word thinking is used to indicate more than one intention. Sometimes we use it to indicate everything that is on our mind. Someone thinks about the state of the world, another thinks about something that was presented to him a few days ago, and a third person thinks about what he sees of the wonders of nature. Other times we use the word thinking within narrow limits, so we say that induction and inference - the basis of mental processes in the eyes of psychologists - are what is meant by the word thinking.
