Thermodynamic Properties and Stochastic Kinetics of Ionization and Recombination in Partially Ionized Dense Plasma

The equation of state of hydrogen at high pressure is still uncertain and the physical nature of theobserved insulator-to-metal transition is controversial. In this book these properties are analyzed and modeled with an emphasis on the interpretation of shock wave experiments. Furthermore the stochastic kinetics of electron transitions and ionization front propagation is investigated.
