There was a rock in the middle of the field

This work originated from the Doctoral Thesis defended at the Fluminense Federal University (UFF) in 2016, by the Graduate Program in Sociology and Law, within the line of research: Rural and Urban Socio-environmental Conflicts. The aim of the study was to investigate the use of crack cocaine among mobile workers in the Zona da Mata region of Minas Gerais in the coffee-growing sector. The field research was carried out during the 2014 harvest in the municipalities of Erv lia, Teixeiras, S o Miguel do Anta and Araponga.
