The World in a Multitude of Colors

Shlomit Pelowski has loved the written word since her early childhood. As a child, the book The Diary of Anne Frank has left a great impression on her and she began years of writing journals and letters to her friends and relatives, in which she revealed her heart. Ten years ago, she began writing short stories. Most were fictional, yet some included important biographical clues. The stories that emerged covered a wide array of topics including people, conflicts, love, disappointment, life and death. She seems to be reaching out a hand to readers, with a joyous heart, with humor, with an invitation, with great generosity and with a unique melody arising from within the words. Pelowski pays quiet and careful attention to the world around her - to her neighborhood, her work, her family, whether in momentary encounters or in a long-term relationship. Yet, in each of her stories - individuals and their emotions take center stage. After much encouragement, she decided to fulfill her dream of publishing a selection of her stories. The stories are brought to the reader in a language that is at once simple and intense, and invite both young and adult readers to enjoy the multi-colored world that Pelowski weaves story by story.
