The Venetian Madonna

Set in modern day Venice during one week in October. Two strangers, Alex and Tom, have booked into the same hotel on the Grand Canal in Venice. She is recovering from a traumatic relationship breakdown. He is searching for his brother who has unexpectedly disappeared and who has left behind a mysterious note. Their relationship develops as they work together to solve the clues in the cryptic note which concerns a famous stolen painting and which leads them into a dangerous world of international art crime, the Mafia and murder.
