Lumbar puncture is an examination used for diagnostic and sometimes therapeutic purposes, with many and varied indications. It is a relatively frequent procedure. Consequently, mastery of this technique is essential for medical students, especially those who will be practicing in hospitals. Several studies have examined the value of learning this technique through procedural simulation. Evaluation is a cornerstone in the success and evolution of simulation in the medical field. The Kirkpatrick model continues to be a popular and widely used evaluation strategy, due to its simplicity and relevance to different sectors and organizations. In this work, we propose to use the Kirkpatrick model to: - Evaluate lumbar puncture training, using simulation sessions as a learning method. The study involved a sample of 20 students in the first year of the second cycle of medical studies. It consisted of a half-hour theoretical session and a one-hour practical workshop on a low-fidelity mannequin.
