The Unicorn Society

When 12-year-old Felicity’s mother dies, she stands to lose everything, her home, even her name if she is adopted. But she’s going to fight. Felicity’s an animal lover, just like her mum, and she realises if she discovers an animal that everyone thinks is extinct, or never existed in the first place, she will become rich and famous, and her problems will be over.

But there are people who want to stop her.

Felicity makes a friend along with way, nine-year-old Simon, and along with Felicity’s uncle, dog and cat, they make up a team to go to the mighty and wild Himalayas to find the greatest mythical beast of them all: the yeti.

Along the way they are attacked by a bear and a snow leopard, nearly freeze to death and almost starve.

During the journey Felicity also learns that while the memory of her mum will always be with her, there are some things you must do on your own.
