The traumatic transgenerational scene

Our enquiry concerns situations in which an ancestor of a patient in psychoanalysis has suffered a traumatic situation and how this scene is reflected in the material of the patient's sessions through transgenerational passage. We review current and past work on transgenerational transmission, on psychic trauma, on identification and on Baranger's field theory.
