The Therapeutic Occlusion in Ppa

Partial edentulism has anatomical, physiological, aesthetic and psychological consequences. The absence of occlusal contacts alters the normal intermaxillary relationship, which contributes to occlusal instability. Therapeutic occlusion is therefore necessary. It consists of modifying the occlusion for therapeutic purposes based on the following reference positions: functional IOM, IOM in centric relationship, anteposition and variation in DVO. The purpose of this work is to determine the criteria for choosing and restoring the therapeutic occlusion.
