The Song of Youth

In the eight stories presented in The Song of Youth, Montserrat Roig (Barcelona, 1946-1991) employs language
as a weapon against political and social “dismemory”, enabling the stories of those silenced by the brutal Franco
regime to come to the fore. Feminist, critical but always lyrical, Roig’s writing gives shape and meaning to the
