The Seven Stairs

Many of us struggle to begin our time of prayer.

Described within this book are seven stairs that we can climb each day. Each step contains a prayer-specific verse that elevates us out of our distracted lives and into the throne room of intimacy.

1. Revelation 3:20: Christ takes the initiative to visit us for prayer each day.
2. Hebrews 10:19: Christ's sacrifice enables us to enter the Most Holy Place.
3. Hebrews 4:16: We receive gifts of grace and mercy when we pray before the throne.
4. John 14:13: We start our prayers by invoking the name of Jesus.
5. Galatians 4:6: We ask for the Holy Spirit within us to help us to pray.
6. Romans 5:5: We also ask the Holy Spirit to help us feel the love of the Father.
7. Ephesians 3:14-19: We ask for the power to comprehend all that the Father has for us.

These verses, when combined with a commitment to accountability and praying alone together, result in a transformed life of prayer.
