Thirteen-year-old Frankie is visiting his uncle in Alaska and it's time return to home. His grandparents need his help on the family farm. But before Frankie must leave, there's just enough time for one last dogsled ride. He hitches Sebastian, a large Siberian husky, to the dogsled and off they go up the mountain.

Of course, in a good story, plans never turn out as expected and Frankie's last dogsled ride turns into an adventure that will change his life forever. He lands in a fantasyland of magic, talking animals, and many wondrous sights in a land called Oz.

She's taught for over twenty years in elementary, middle grade, high school, and junior college classrooms, on three continents and in seven schools.
She continues to present workshops and is the owner-curator of the largest, privately owned gem and mineral museum in Northern California. When she's not working with rocks, she's working on manuscripts.
