The reasonable duration of proceedings

Procedural slowness is still an obstacle to the realisation of rights. Satisfaction on the part of litigants still falls short of the social ideal, since procedural effectiveness, as a principle, is still a utopia. This book summarises some of the means of procedural effectiveness to achieve real social satisfaction and tries to explain the meaning of the expression 'reasonable duration of the process'.
