The Poetics of Scientific Imagery

pocket, 2026
Engelsk
This work explores a novel approach to scientific and technological research, articulating the poetic, imaginary and symbolic dimensions of thought around a key concept: the (n-1) factor. This factor, derived from a cognitive model inspired by fractal mathematics, systems theory and a poetic vision of the world, is proposed as a powerful determinant of emergence, creative breakthroughs and radical innovation in science and technology.Against a backdrop of increasingly complex contemporary challenges, be they energy transitions, epistemological ruptures, or the reconfiguration of relations between science, society and the environment, this research proposes a re-reading of knowledge production processes through poetically enhanced scientific imagery. It considers that scientific images, often perceived as illustrative tools, can become central cognitive operators when their poetic, analogical and intuitive potential is activated.
