Abdo Jubayr is one of the most important writers of the new Egyptian novel, and one of the most important writers of his generation (the generation of the seventies), that generation that bore on its shoulders, along with the generation that preceded it (the sixties), the burden of the third birth of the Egyptian novel. After the generation of founders or pioneers (such as Heikal, Taha, and Tawfiq) and the generation of citizens (Kanguib, Muhammad Abdel Halim Abdullah, Youssef Idris, and others), the generations of the sixties and seventies came to level the novel at their hands on its market, a mature novel, a confrontation, Painful, concerned with folklore, meaning and history, and leaning towards all aspects of experimentation and innovation.He presented many works that varied between stories and novels, including "A Knight on a Wooden Horse" 1978, "Moving the Heart" 1981, "The Way of the Person" 1982, "Farewell is a Crown of Grass" 1997, "Times to Go to the End of Time" 2004, and "The Man of Emotions Walking on the Edge" 2009.
