The New Cangaço in Southern Minas Gerais

This book tells the story of the serial attacks on bank branches in the south and southwest of the state of Minas Gerais, mainly using explosives to gain access to money from ATMs and branch safes, with heavily armed gangs firing large-caliber firearms, in what has become known in police circles as the New Canga o. How these attacks affected the lives of the population, the reaction of the authorities and the outlook for public security and the fight against crime.
