The Money Guide for Young Entrepreneurs was created by Dana Jewel Harris, Executive Director of The NEXT Steps Youth Entrepreneur Program. Her goal for the past ten years has been to help students learn the value of their STEAM skills before they graduate high school or enter a postsecondary program of study, college, the military, the workforce or start their own business.

The Money Guide for Young Entrepreneurs engages students in skill-building activities that address socio-economic conditions within their community. By forming Junior Executive Management (JEM) Teams, students engage in applied-learning activities that prepare them for a lifetime of success -- regardless of the STEAM career pathway they choose. In the end, their completed activity worksheets turn into a real business plan

The Money Guide for Young Entrepreneurs serves as a great supplemental pre-apprenticeship or internship curriculum for STEAM education and workforce development programs. It's micro-credentialing system creates long-term, sustainable community service projects and flexible, blended-learning employment opportunities that are ideal for candidates that wish to strengthen their knowledge and skills in: audio engineering, a/v technology, film, digital media, gaming, business management, project management, financial literacy, blockchain technology, entertainment and entrepreneurship.
