An unhappy, mean sea witch was floating above the ocean. She saw a mermaid sitting on a rock and singing happily. The sea witch whispered a spell. Suddenly lightning bolted from the sky and struck the mermaid. Mercedes the mermaid changed from a happy mermaid to a distrustful mermaid. She began to murmur a song of sadness.
