While covering the Weinstein affair and the "MeToo-movement, Julie de Smedt - a 31-year-old columnist for a Belgian women's magazine - is contacted by her cousin, a publisher. He entrusts her with several diaries of Marilyn Monroe and the American writer Margaret Wright, who met the actress in the last years of her life.
