The Mask

He drops his pen on the floor. Tired, he is leaning on the file. An enormous weight tightens his shoulders bending him. It's the hardest job he's got to accomplish. He had been thinking for at least one year to retire, but the prospect of a household life is scaring him. He's going to risk it for the last time. He has to; this is the life with which he got used to. Running, madness, existential chaos. He didn't base a family, he doesn't have a stable relationship with the woman he loves. He is an everlasting explorer, a seeker in the waters, mountains, valleys, tunnels, in all the hidden coals of Earth. The phone wakes him up from priming.
