The Linden Tree Murders

Two bodies are discovered suspended from a twisted tree in the solarium of a country house a few kilometres outside of town.

"Murder-suicide. They do it all the time," opined Sergeant Downs."

Jo, the housekeeper, doesn't think so. Neither does Eddie Carter, a newly minted cop. But Sergeant Downs and his team have no doubts whatsoever. Their investigation is single-minded.

So Jo and Eddie, an unlikely pair of sleuths, undertake an investigation to discover who murdered Trixie and Tay Desjardins.

A cat, a Camaro, and a Jeep Wrangler provide crucial clues, but only in the light of Egglestons' politics and personal relationships, which Eddie knows because he's always lived there, and Jo knows because she pays attention.
