When Professor David Whitney dies suddenly, he leaves his daughter a legacy of his life's work in the form of an unfinished manuscript. What he should have left her was a warning. Desiring to pay her father a final tribute, Janus Whitney decides to complete her father's manuscript and to publish it posthumously. But unbeknownst to Janus, her father had been weaving ancient, pre-Sumerian spells and long-lost cuneiform into the text in an attempt to bring Janus' deceased mother to life. Each page she crafts opens the door between the surreal and reality a little wider. Word by word, Janus finds herself pulled into a world of the damned, battling for both sanity and life.
