The Legend of Tehdrin

The Legend of Tehdrin is the first in a series of fantasy novels depicting the journey of Zehrek, who appearing to be thirteen years old wakes up alone with no memory of his life, no family, and facing the daunting task of discovering who he is and how he is uniquely different from everyone else. Along the way, he makes friends who stand with him while he makes new discoveries about where he comes from and "what" he is, and also foes who not only have preconceptions about Zehrek, but are frightened by what they don't understand. Themes explored in the novel include the pains of being a misfit, the ties of family, what holds friendships together, coming of age, the importance of protecting our world, and the future of the human species. Zehrek's story unfolds among the towering pines of the great Northern Wisconsin woods in the village of Eagle River.
