The integral evaluation of hospital units

The Mexican Health System is composed of the public and private sectors. The public sector includes social security institutions, which provide services to workers in the formal sector of the economy, and institutions that provide services to the population without social security. The private sector is made up of institutions that provide services to the population with the capacity to pay (G mez, et al. 2011). The Instituto de Seguridad y Servicios Sociales de los Trabajadores del Estado (ISSSTE) is one of the social security institutions of the Mexican Health System, which is responsible for the administration of insurance, benefits and services established in its Law, with the aim of guaranteeing active state workers, retirees, pensioners and entitled family members subject to its regime, the right to social security as set forth in the Political Constitution of the United Mexican States.
