The Informatics Handbook

This handbook is designed to be a ready guide to the converging technologies of information technology, telecommunications, broadcasting and multimedia production. Users of the information superhighway should find this a useful guide. Unlike conventional dictionaries, the definitions are not prescriptive, and many variations in common usage are included to help readers thread their way through the confusion of acronyms and jargon in the current telecoms and computer literature.
