The House of the Whispering Pines

A day after closing down the Whispering Pines country club house for winter break, the narrator is surprised to see what looks like smoke emanating from the building's chimney. Upon investigating, he witnesses his sister's fiance flee the building crying and, upstairs, finds her dead body.
