The House of Dogs is a series of poems which tell the before and after stories of six dogs that were rescued to become part of a family who has given them the life they deserve.

Written by Elizabeth Guajardo and illustrated by Grethel Peralta, The House of Dogs describes each dog and its previous life in contrast to its new wonderful life to explain children about the importance of adopting a pet instead of buying one.
