The Grand Night

The flying saucer lands suddenly and creates a blue dome surrounding "The Land of the Stand," which is the popular region located at the back of the world. When the chief of the region, the teacher Khashabah al-Hattab, discovers that all means of communication with the outside world have been cut off, he summons his mini-war council to discuss ways to deal with this black scourge. However, every individual in the land of the situation has his own black affliction, whether Alaa Box, the teacher''s left arm, or his wife Samah, or Hajj Taher aspiring to leadership, or Antar Adma, the innocent devil, or Mr. Nasser Al-Tahami, nicknamed "Shakespeare of the Arabs." Through a multi-layered narrative, in which language plays a pivotal role, Muhammad Al-Fouly presents his first novel experience, in which he mixes exoticism and realism, presenting an amazing world of the marginalized.
