The Gospel of John: Interpreted in Verse by Dottie M. Reed

Dottie Reed was raised in the church and accepted Christ at an early age. As a young adult, though she had what looked like a perfectly fulfilling life, she began to sense that something vital was missing. One night, she realized what was missing in her life was a close relationship with God. Early the next morning she opened her Bible to the Gospel of John (having heard this was the best chapter for a "new" Christian to start). As she read, the scriptures seemed to tell a story in rhyme. She was so inspired that she began translating the entire book of John into a poem-a labor of love that took more than two years. As she interpreted the narrative into lyrical form, foremost in her mind was to remain faithful to the original text. This book is the result of that effort. Her prayer is that this work will glorify God and bless the life of every reader. Summing up her spiritual journey, Mrs. Reed concludes, "To really KNOW Jesus Christ, I had to LIVE for Him "
