The girl and the war: A true story

When siblings Antonio and Liv come home from school and tell their great-grandmother about their day, she says something they never could have imagined. Today they will learn about her life during the war, before she came to Sweden. This is the true story of Hella, a Polish girl who was captured by the Nazis and sent to a concentration camp. Helena "Hella" Glowacki (later Karlsson) survived the Holocaust and came to Sweden after the Second World War. She lived to be ninety-three years old (1923-2017) and often shared her experiences. This story is written by Hella's granddaughter, Annelie, to pass on her history and remember what happened.
