The Geste Novels Part A

Percival Christopher Wren is best known as a novelist, publishing twenty-eight novels from 1912 to 1941, the most famous of which is Beau Geste (1924). The Geste Novels, Parts A and B, comprise the four novels featuring the Geste brothers and their friends. These novels are the well-known Beau Geste and the lesser-known direct sequels: Beau Sabreur (1926) and Beau Ideal (1927). The fourth novel, Spanish Maine (published in the United States as The Desert Heritage), was published in 1935, eight years and twelve books after Beau Ideal. All four novels feature what Wren is famous for: stories of the French Foreign Legion. The series, The Collected Novels of P. C. Wren, includes twenty-eight novels in seven thematic omnibus volumes. There are fourteen physical volumes, each thematic volume divided into Part A and Part B. The individual titles are not in Wren's original publication order, but instead have a connecting theme such as characters or locale. The Geste Novels, Part A and Part B, are the first volumes in The Collected Novels of P. C. Wren. The other volumes in the series are: The Sinbad Novels, The Foreign Legion Novels, The Earlier India Novels, The Later India Novels, The English Novels, and A Mixed Bag of Novels.
