Three-time Paralympian gold medallist Carol Cooke tells her life story with disarming honesty, a keen eye and gentle humour. Born into a Canadian policing family, Carol followed in their footsteps serving on the Toronto Police Force until love called and she moved to Australia. Following a period of feeling unwell, Carol was diagnosed with MS (multiple sclerosis) and life as she knew it changed forever. Resilient and determined, Carol believes she must embrace whatever happens on her life path and that is exactly what she did. She became a Paralympian and at an age when her friends were looking at retiring she was still training and competing (and winning!) against athletes much younger than her.
