The Flight of Alpha I

Have you ever dreamed of flying? Eleven year old Reed Adams has. He has lived in ten different foster homes since he was five years old. Now he is living at a ranch in peaceful Apple Valley and dreams it will be his home. Exploring at his new school he finds some strange, extra large caterpillars along a creek. After capturing one in a jar it immediately transforms into its pupa stage. Reed leaves it with the librarian until after school.
