The First Summer

Jack struggles during his first summer in Maine after his grandpa's death. Everything is different, and everyone seems to have returned to "normal". Nothing is normal, and grief has a grip on Jack. With the help of Grandpa's friend, Max, Jack begins to understand that it's ok to be sad, to cry and to miss someone terribly. It's the price we pay for loving. Appropriate to share/read with ages 7 and older.
