The Field of Locoweed

The adopted daughter of a famous former senator, Emma Amelia Sparkman, grows up on a ranch which she loves but plays hostess at functions for her granddad. She fights her inner demons wanting freedom from the world of politics and fake people, but continues to play the dutiful granddaughter and hostess to functions and dinners standing beside her granddad and her fianc , Arthur Burroughs, who was hand-picked by her granddad. Life in the Sparkman home will explode when Arthur Burroughs' treachery is discovered by Emma. The field of locoweed has special meaning to Emma and is owned by another man who will attempt to dominate and tame the independent Emma.
