ACTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES ... Simon Jones is a seventeen-year-old college student whose life is warm and comfortable. However, the life of his best friend, James Huang, couldn't be any more different. Living with an abusive and alcoholic father, James faces the cruel and harsh underside of life. Not liking to see his friend hurt, Simon vows to defend him. By fate or fortune, his wish is granted in the form of a mysterious ring, and it doesn't take him long to find that there is more to it than meets the eye.
