The Fairy & the Pixies

This is an exciting book with photographic images of people within the gothic scene. It is a fairytale of black & white images shot in Oxford, UK in 1998. The characters shows themselves with bodypaint and mohicans and you will see what is lurking...
The reason why I did this series was to capture that time and the life I lived back then. The fight between good and evil, what is "right" and what is "wrong". Disguised characters. In my self-initiated work, I question traditional norms and was playing with different gender-roles. It has been hard work but I like challenging myself. To surprise the viewer. Expectations.
