The Dust on the Godown Floor

It is 1973 in Bangkok, Thailand, and Bill Thomas is a young expatriate working for WorldMedal Inc. while enjoying occasional romantic trysts with local women anxious to please. But when a co-worker tells him he has received an anonymous warning that the company is in danger of receiving a shipment of ilmenite from Singapore instead of tin ore, Bill's life is suddenly upended. Bill and the co-worker have no idea of the identity of the caller-only that he had an accent from Thailand's tin mining region. After Bill informs an American executive of the developments, he heads for Singapore where a chain of events begins to unfold and truths become evident. As Bill soon finds himself in the midst of a brutal and unforgiving milieu, he must confront challenges he never imagined and a moral dilemma with an outcome that will haunt him for the remainder of his life.
