The Dixie Plot

A Romance of the Civil War that features a desperate plot to save the Confederacy by blowing up the White House and assassinating President Lincoln by using a bomb dropped from a balloon. It features a romance between a Confederate officer and the daughter of balloon inventor, complicated by the fact the CSA officer is a Cherokee Indian Even facing social ostracism and racism, the two find romance and marry, all the while facing Union spies and plots to unmask the plot. It is a story of love, war and the hate that would doom the South to ultimate defeat.
