The Competitive Advantage of Industrial Districts

This study combines several results on the economics of industrial districts. The first part investigates internal determinants of industrial district competitiveness, looking at internal productivity, patterns of innovation and those factors which create a favourable industrial atmosphere. The second section of the book investigates the foreign competitiveness of industrial districts, focusing on the performance of exports and other forms of internationalization.
