The Companion Book for the Flute

A companion book is designed to expand the learning experience of a student using a standard instrumental music method lesson book. Method books only teach one how to play an instrument. This companion book teaches everything else about the instrument, providing a student with greater insight into the instrument's relationship to others in its family and to those instruments with which he or she will be working. Being exposed to this expanded enrichment will result in a well-rounded musician in place of one who can just play an instrument.
