The British Army of August 1914

This book provides a listing of all the Regiments and Corps of the British Army that were in existence when war was declared in August 1914, its scope being the Regular Army, Special Reserve, Territorial Force, contingents of the Officers Training Corps, and other recognised cadet units. It is intended to help researchers—military, local and family, professional or amateur to establish what constituted the British Army on the eve of the Great War and to easily find the location of each unit.
