The Book of Proverbs in Ethiopic and English

The Book of Proverbs is one of the few books of the Ethiopic Old Testament of which no critical edition has been available, and the aim of this work is to fill that gap. It is based on Hugh Pilkington's Doctoral Dissertation and provides a critical edition of the oldest accessible text of the Geez version and is based on a collation of numerous manuscripts. The Ethiopic version is a daughter version of the Septuagint, and the work sheds light on the character of the original translation and on its subsequent history. The current edition includes Geez text of the Book of Proverbs and its English translation.
