The art of saying without betraying

The inspiration for this book comes from my experience managing communications and media services within international organizations. For several years, we have tried to impose our vision and our methods in terms of humanitarian communication. This book presents itself to me as a collection or synthesis of the lessons learned from my journey in this field. I share the major challenges that I have identified and experienced, while proposing answers to certain problems encountered. It will constitute a tool for improvement for myself in terms of support for communication and the media. It will also help my employers to better understand the functioning of a communications service and to understand the importance of the independence that a communications and media manager must have to effectively carry out their missions. Finally, this book will be a valuable resource for students and all people wishing to pursue a career in humanitarian communications. It will provide them with benchmarks to refine their communication strategies and help better position their employers in a competitive environment.
