Tesla in love

In this selection of his poems Niinikangas moves between sharply observed realism, defined by his eye for the image that tells a deeper story, or the absurd happening that leads to a new view, to a more surrealistic sense of the everyday as beat adventure through more tender elegiac and celebratory poems. His work always looks to include the left behind, the underdog and those who can not speak up for themselves. This is a good introduction to important work.
