Who said that a person lives only in the present? Isn''t the present part of the past? Isn''t remembering and forgetting an innate nature in humans? Is there a person outside of time?! Does a person find a substitute for nostalgia for the past and recalling memories? In this work, the great poet Ali Al-Jarim recalls the memories of the Andalusian Islamic civilization on a narrative historical basis, where Al-Jarim weaves from Andalusia, that lost paradise, the threads of his novel in time and place, events and people. The novel came to narrate to us the life of the poet Ibn Zaydun in the Andalusian lands, for whom it was destined He was destined to be a preacher for "The Birth of Ibn al-Mustakfi," and to work as a minister and scribe for Ibn Jahur, but the winds were blowing in a way that the ships did not desire. After Ibn Zaydun was the spoiled boy of Andalusia, close to the palace, circles of haters and envious people turned around him, and they began plotting conspiracies and intrigues against him. Problems rained down on him from every side, and Al-Jarim narrates this novel in a distinguished artistic style and exquisite language that indicates his grasp of the cornerstone of the language and his mastery of it.
