Teenage Perspectives On The Black Experience In America

Quick! What are your thoughts on race, racism, stereotypes and even the dreaded "e;N"e; Word? Have you ever challenged your own way of thinking? Are your thoughts on these subjects your own, or were you indoctrinated to believe certain things? How do you think children and teenagers view these topics today? How did you view them when you were in high school? Teenage Perspectives on The Black Experience in America explores the minds of the typical teenage high school student in the United States regarding many topics that are not usually discussed with teenagers. Their thoughts are freely expressed and challenged to force them to critically think and assess and reassess their own thoughts and beliefs, not to necessarily change them. As many of these discussions can be difficult to have, they are still important to be had as the children will be the future of our nation. This book gives a small insight into what our high school students and our children may be thinking on many issues that not only affect Black Americans, but ALL Americans as well.
