Teaching basic thermodynamic concepts through experiments

According to the Physics Teaching Redesign Group (GREF-USP), physics has a conceptual beauty that in itself would justify its study, but this natural science is undermined when methodologies are adopted that do not consider contextualization, the natural relationship between its concepts and the reality experienced by society as a whole, and also ignore the conceptions that students have beforehand. In an interactionist and investigative approach, concepts are not given to students in advance, but are constructed with the help of practical activities and in a meaningful way, giving a new dimension to the nature they experience. Even if their professional lives don't depend directly on science, the world will certainly become more interesting.
