Tansy Magill

The narrator loves to stay with her grandmother in her house on Huffingup Hill. Most of all she loves Grandma's stories about Tansy Magill, a llittle red-haired girl who once also lived in this house, and who slept in the same bed under the same patchwork quilt. The story she likes to hear most of all is Grandma's tale about how Tansy Magill met Billy Higgins and became part of the Huffingup Hill Gang. She never tires of hearing it, and it always makes her laugh ... But who is Tansy Magill, really?
